camp it out, farewell Raindog

So, we've been back from Hawaii for several weeks now and we have finally bridged the gap to full on camping season!  Yes, we actually have to work for a living and are forced to show up to work 5 days a week, but guess what, that leaves 2 days every single week for vacationing (aka camping or glamping, however you want to look at it).  This is going to be an amazing camping season, I can feel it in my bones.  So far we are off to a pretty great start!

It's an end of an era, our very first travel trailer (Raindog) is no longer with us...
Raindog's Farewell Voyage, Leavenworth WA
woke up to find a surprise dusting of snow... in April...

Lake Wenatchee was so beautiful on this very cool spring morning

Raindog has been very good to us over the 2 years that we've had her, but we have decided to move on.  With the revelation that we love camping and camp often, we needed just a little more space and decided to upgrade.  Raindog's farewell voyage was bittersweet, we've had some great memories together. RIP Raindog.

Meet Wildcat (aka Max aka Maxine): Our new vacation home away from home, yep, glamping!

Our maiden voyage with Maxine was La Conner, WA
Another beautiful La Conner sunset!

Also beautiful in daylight... and a Great Blue Heron

Next we ventured to Crescent Bar on the east side of the Mountains, we sought sun and found it!

Now we are in Monroe, very close to home but it's one of those rare spring weeks in Western Washington where we will enjoy the 70's-80's for 9 days straight.  So no need to spend gas money sun seeking this weekend.

Here is a sunset shot from our campsite last night over looking the Snohomish River

One of our favorite things about our weekend vacationing/glamping/camping excursions is that we get to bring our babies along:

Camp dogs (Lilo and Leilani, it's a Boxer thing):

Can't forget about lil Bogie, sometimes he just needs a little pedestal

Camp it OUT!
